At the same time, Google One announced that it would no longer offer the VPN service that it launched in 2020.

Desktop browser DuckDuckGo is experimenting with a new combo plan that includes three security features, including an anonymous VPN, personal data deletion and identity theft recovery. According to DuckDuckGo, the VPN feature does not store VPN logs to ensure user privacy. The VPN encrypts the Internet connection for all browsers and apps on the device, keeping location and IP addresses hidden from the websites you visit.

The Personal Information Removal Service periodically scans websites to minimize the risk of your information appearing again. The third feature, Identity Theft Recovery, ensures that an advisor is always available to help you resolve issues related to identity loss.

Data protection professional

The three security services within the Privacy Pro subscription are included directly in the browser, eliminating the need for external apps. The security features are sold separately but cost more than $30 per month. On the other hand, users can purchase the Privacy Pro subscription for $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year. The subscription is currently only available in the United States, but future plans to expand to multiple regions are on the table.

Almost at the same time, Google One announced that it would no longer offer its VPN service, which had been available since 2020. The company told 9to5Google that it was discontinuing the feature because it was no longer being used.
