A significant part of my job consists of testing all kinds of applications, but some stay on my phone and some don’t. The problem is that I end up having too many things and I either organize them or it becomes easy for me to forget they are there. luckily i tried an app that allows me to have expandable folders and has now become indispensable.

I already know that it is possible to create folders and widgets, but sometimes these do not suit my needs; i.e. not all folders are the same or all the apps I put in them have the same importance as long as I do so. do not use them equally. And that’s exactly what I liked the most Folder Widget, which helps me manage and organize apps even in the free version to keep them in the foreground on the home screen.

How does Folder Widget work and what can you do?

Although it is increasingly true Brands like Xiaomi, OPPO, Vivo or Honor add expandable folders function, but you can get Folder Widget for free on any Android device by downloading it for free from the Google Play Store. I told you before that in this version without paying the folder options in terms of extensions are smaller, the name of the application will always appear and a message will appear inviting you to check it when you try to run any paid function, but it is completely bearable and the free version already does its job.

Once you download the app, you’ll see that there’s a long list of options (many in the free version), videos and documentation to learn how to use it, and a button at the bottom to start creating your widget: ‘Add widget‘. In fact, as long as you know English and are willing to try, you can create folders without tutorials without too much trouble.

In the next step different sizes of the folder appear and here pleasant surprises are confirmed: from the classic 3×3, 2×2 or 4×4 square matrix to others one of the most interesting things is playing with different dimensions as explained before: I like having all the Google apps together, but I don’t use Chrome in the same way as Lens, for example. Now all that remains is to add it by tapping ‘Next’.

Applications

The result is clear: Apps are organized and on the first screen Being able to reach them at a glance without having to search. When you find the one that interests you, you tap it, it opens and that’s it. Of course, I can say that even though the applications are very small, they are difficult to open. The nice thing is that you can configure notifications so you don’t miss anything

When you long press, you will be shown the option to delete the folder or access the settings; here you can change the size, you can change the color and size of the text, you can change the borders, margins and margins if we want the name of the application to appear. background colors… However, Even the free version has boring options While what appears by default is fine, this is a plus if you like customization.
