Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman recently reported that the first computers Match with serial chips M4 It will be released later this year, with new models coming next year. It has now released a more accurate release schedule.
The next pair is expected to:
- Cheap 14-inch MacBook Pro with M4 coming in late 2024;
- The 24-inch iMac with M4 is also expected to arrive towards the end of the year;
- New high-end 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros with M4 Pro/Max chips will be available between late 2024 and early 2025;
- Mac mini with M4 and M4 Pro chips are expected in late 2025, 2024 and early 2025;
- The new 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air is planned to be released in spring 2025;
- Mac Studio with high-performance M4 chip will be available in mid-2025;
- Mac Pro with M4 Ultra chip is expected to be released in the second half of 2025.
Gurman reiterated that Apple is doing internal testing on the M3 Ultra chip that will fit the Mac Studio and Mac Pro, but said he’s almost certain “at least some of Apple’s high-end desktops” won’t use the M3.
The insider added that Apple’s M4 chip series will emphasize AI capabilities.
