The Acer Predator Z57 is the flagship monitor developed by the Taiwanese firm for 2024. It has just been launched in the North American channel and will be available in Europe in a few weeks. If you have the necessary budget (over 2000 euros), you can take home an impressive model.

The computer monitor market has seen a lively entry of OLED panels in recent months. But they are not the only ones who can impress the staff and we have the star of the Acer catalog for the first part of 2024.

The monitor uses a VA panel with MiniLED technology 2304 zones, which according to the manufacturer should provide the “best” image quality and the best brightness, since it has VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification, with which it reaches a maximum of 1000 nits. It supports a wide color gamut, 98% DCI-P3 98%.

Its native resolution is upscaled to DUHD, yes, and dual 4K with a resolution of 7680 x 2160 pixels. Its refresh rate is 120 Hz and supports AMD FreeSync Premium synchronization technology.

Although it is aimed at the video game market, it would be a shame to use it only for that. And this ultra-wide viewing area is ideal for multitasking and is supported by built-in productivity-enhancing features, including picture-in-picture, which splits the screen in half to display output from two different sources simultaneously, and picture-in-picture, which splits the screen to display the main and others in a nested window.

The Acer Predator Z57 is equipped with two HDMI 2.1 ports compatible with the latest consoles (place for PlayStation 5 and XBOX Series (144 cm) on the table) and its base offers height, tilt and swivel adjustments. It has two 10W speakers to complement the multimedia section so the user doesn’t have to add their own.

As you can imagine, the price of this monitor is not in the economic range. It has been marked at $1,999 for the North American market, and will cost even more in Europe: 2,399 euros.
