What news will cell phones bring? iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro? There’s no official word yet on what’s to come, but rumors and industry sources can already give us a good idea of what to expect from Apple’s next generation of devices.
Based on everything that has been published in the international press so far, we have prepared a compilation so that you can get a better idea of what to expect from the iPhone 14. Please note that much of this information may change before the announcement date – probably in the month of September. Let’s see what will happen in the next generation of iPhone?
We don’t have an official release date yet, but historically the company announces its phones in September. If there are no problems, you can write it in your calendar: the official announcement will be in September, sales will start in the same month.
In Brazil, the delivery of the device may take a little longer, so expect it here in the second half of October or the first half of November.
Let’s take the US price into account for this forecast. There, the starting price of the iPhone 13 is $799, and the trend is that this price will continue in the next release. Apple rarely raises the base price of its products overseas.
What we don’t know is what that price conversion will be in Brazil, as dollar exchange rate fluctuations need to be taken into account. Despite the uncertain scenario – especially since this is an election year, a similar price can be quoted: from 7,500 to 8,000 reais.
If there are no problems, you can write it in your calendar: the official announcement will be in September, sales will start in the same month.
There are currently three models on the market: iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13, and iPhone SE. There is no indication that Apple will make changes in this regard, so we can expect iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone SE updates. All of them must be equipped with an A16 Bionic processor with a different number of processor cores.
From the looks of it, this generation will be more of a refresh than a refresh. In practice, this means that the look and feel of the iPhone 13 should be kept on the iPhone 14. News really should be related to software resources and hardware updates. When it comes to colors, Apple also doesn’t usually innovate immediately after launch. For example, on the iPhone 13, just a few months later, we introduced a new color – Alpine Green.
One of the rumors is that two iPhone 14 models will have a 120Hz ProMotion display. This is a feature that is currently only present in the Pro version. The notch in the display must be retained.
As for the processor, there are two theories, one is that we will have a new generation of chips with the A16 Bionic. The other, more likely one, indicates that Apple will keep the same A15 Bionic as the current models, but boost their performance with software and adding more RAM. The cameras should remain the same, only with new software features.
Don’t expect the Lightning port to switch to USB Type-C just yet – it won’t be until 2023 at the earliest.
Finally, don’t wait for the change from Lightning to USB Type-C just yet, in fact Apple is preparing this transition in its product line, but it should not happen before 2023, so the next generation will be Lightning.
If you’re expecting drastic changes in the iPhone 14, forget about it. The next generation will be much more of a simple lineup update than a completely redesigned product. Apple no longer uses generation “S” as an indication between one version and another, but we can think of it that way.
If you’re thinking about buying an iPhone 13, fear not: the current model shouldn’t look dated even after the iPhone 14 comes out. If you already have an iPhone 13, switching to the iPhone 14 probably won’t be a bargain. Now, if your iPhone is 12, a jump to 14 could mean a significant win.
Here are some iPhone 14 rumors published so far:
iPhone 14 Pro will get the “always-on display” feature.
The novelty will allow smartphones to display information and notifications with low battery consumption
