Asus introduces the ProArt Display PA32KCX. This screen doesn’t shy away from superlatives and is equipped with an 8K HDR miniLED panel.
Asus launches the ProArt Display PA32KCX. This is a 32-inch screen with an 8K resolution (16:9, 7,680 x 4,320 pixels). For the panel, Asus relies on miniLED technology, which allows the screen to handle brightness of 1,000 nits for extended periods, with short peaks of 1,200 nits. This brightness is divided into 4,096 zones. Asus says these specs make the display great for HDR work. HDR10 and HLG are supported.
With the screen, Asus is entirely aimed at graphics professionals. You can edit 4K videos at full resolution, while still leaving enough screen space for the editing program’s workspace. It goes without saying that a rugged, compatible workstation is a must.
Self-calibration
The color fastness out of the box is said to be phenomenal with a promised DeltaE of less than one. The display shows 97 percent of the DCI-P3 spectrum. A built-in color measuring device ensures long-term color fastness thanks to self-calibration.
On the connectivity side, Assus provides HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 2.1 and two USB Type-C ports with Thunderbolt 4. The screen serves as a dock and delivers 96 watts of power via Power Delivery.
