Genetec has announced the general availability of Security Center SaaS, following its previous announcement of this solution. This is a service that integrates various aspects of physical security such as access control and video management. The system works with a range of door controllers, cameras and other security devices, giving businesses the freedom to select equipment based on their specific needs.

Flexible implementation

Security Center SaaS offers an open architecture that allows companies to choose the equipment that best fits their business operations. The platform is equipped with forensic investigation search capabilities that can simplify and speed up incident investigation. This functionality is combined with what Genetec believes is an intuitive user interface that supports decision making.

For system management, Genetec provides the platform with tools that partners can use to configure and implement complex systems for multi-site organizations. This allows partners to efficiently manage their installations from quote to delivery.

Collaboration with Axis

The platform also uses the Axis Cloud Connectsolution and the Axis Powered by Genetec-Network door controls. This partnership with Axis enables video, metadata and access control data to be streamed directly to the cloud, allowing Security Center SaaS customers to begin a deployment suitable for both hybrid and fully on-premises environments.
