Adobe brings three generative AI features directly to Premier Pro to improve your workflow

Adobe gives us a sneak peek at three new generative AI video tools coming to Premier Pro. Its features include generative applications for expanding clips, adding and removing objects in a video, and generating text into a video. Adobe is also bringing new AI audio features to Premier Pro and will be generally available to customers in May. Adobe recently introduced generative AI to GenStudio and Firefly.

Generative AI in Premier Pro

Adobe is bringing three new generative AI workflows to Premier Pro, which will be generally available later this year. These tools will revolutionize video creation and production workflows and provide professional video creators with new creative possibilities.

• Generative expansion: Generative extension allows creators to seamlessly add frames to extend clips for a smooth transition between videos. Users can create additional media to refine their edits, pause a recording for an additional beat, or create a better transition.
• Add and remove objects: This tool allows creators to select and track objects to later replace them, remove unwanted elements, or add a new set piece, for example.
• Text-to-video: Based on the text in a prompt, users can create new footage directly in Premier Pro.

New audio workflows in Premier Pro

In addition to the new AI video tools, Adobe is also making some new audio workflows available in Premiere Pro. This way, editors have everything they need to precisely control the quality of the sound.

• Interactive fade handles: Users can quickly and easily create custom audio transitions by dragging clip handles and creating audio crossfades.
• New Essential Sound badge with audio category tagging: AI automatically tags audio clips accordingly, e.g. E.g. dialogues, music, sound effects or atmosphere, and adds the corresponding symbol. This gives users direct access to the right controls.
• Effect badge: New visual indicators have been added that show which clips have effects and allow you to quickly add effect parameters and open them automatically.
• New waveforms in the timeline: The size of the waveforms changes as the track height of the clips changes. New colors make the sequences easier to read.

According to Adobe, the new audio workflows will be available to customers in May, with the expected date for the AI ​​video tools planned for later this year.
