US Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall said the US Air Force has entered the development and development phase (EMD) of its Next Generation Air Domination (NGAD) program, which includes the creation of a sixth-generation fighter. This was reported by The Drive.
According to Kendall, the goal of the phase is to turn NGAD into a real opportunity by 2030. The minister noted that the time of the sixth generation warriors has now begun. Kendall recalled that the US Air Force had previously worked on an “experimental prototype” of the aircraft.
The United States Air Force Secretary added that work on the NGAD needs to be stepped up. He said the U.S. Air Force was “not interested in demonstration experiments unless it was a necessary step towards new opportunities.”
