WhatsApp is adding a new chat filter to its application to help users find messages quickly and easily. The new chat filter ensures you don’t have to scroll through your entire inbox to find a message. It includes three filters: all, unread and groups. The filter is being rolled out gradually and will be available to everyone in the coming weeks.

WhatsApp’s new chat filter helps users find and organize their chat messages. The chat filter appears at the top and is divided into three functions: All, Unread, and Groups. Under “All” you will see the default view of all your messages. The Unread filter only shows unread messages, making it easy to find missed calls. Finally, the “Groups” filter ensures that you quickly and easily get a clear overview of all your group conversations.

WhatsApp previously added a (hidden) feature that allows you to filter chat messages using the search bar. Now the company is making this filter more readily available at the top of the chat window.
