Developers of Trust Wallet, a cryptocurrency wallet owned by the Binance exchange, have warned iOS users about a vulnerability in the iMessage security system that hackers could use to hack iPhone.
As the developers report, they have reliable information about the zero-day vulnerability, cybercriminals have discovered a persistent iMessage vulnerability and are exploiting it. Hacker sells exploit on darknet for $2 million.
It is stated that hackers can gain access to the iPhone without any user action (without needing a victim to click on a link).
Trust Wallet advised users to disable iMessage until Apple releases a fix. But some experts believe that unless you consider yourself a high-risk user, there’s no need to panic and give up iMessage.
