Starlink launches continue. The Falcon 9 rocket carrying 23 SpaceX Starlink Internet satellites is scheduled to lift off from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida today (April 17) in a four-hour window that will open at 5:26 PM ET (9:26 PM Kyiv time).
You can watch live from the SpaceX account on X. The broadcast will begin approximately five minutes before the window opens.
If all goes as planned, the Falcon 9’s first stage will return to Earth approximately 8.5 minutes after launch and land vertically aboard SpaceX’s Just Read the Instructions unmanned spacecraft, which will be deployed in the Atlantic Ocean.
According to SpaceX’s mission statement, this will be the 12th launch and landing of this particular launch vehicle. That’s eight short of the reuse record the company set during last week’s Starlink mission. Falcon 9’s upper stage will continue to carry 23 Starlink satellites into low Earth orbit (LEO), eventually placing them there approximately 65 minutes after liftoff.
