It’s been an open secret that was finally confirmed just yesterday, Sony wants to bring its great exclusives to PC and the next triple-A title we’ll see on said platform will be Spirit of Tsushima, a highly anticipated game whose minimum and recommended requirements have yet to be confirmed, although we have a pretty clear idea of what to expect in this regard.

The first thing we need to be clear about is that the Ghost of Tsushima version will be released on PC It will be the “Director’s Cut” that arrived on PS5, which means it includes all the graphical improvements over the PS4 version and all the extra content. A port of the PS4 version would have better hardware requirements, that’s for sure, but also lower quality graphics.

Nixxes Software has confirmed that Ghost of Tsushima will be supporting NVIDIA DLSS 3, AMD FSR 3 and also Intel XeSS. It will be compatible with 21:9, 32:9 and 48:9 screen formats as well as DualSense controls, although it can be played with a keyboard and mouse without any problems thanks to the various configuration and customization options it will offer in this sense.

Possible requirements of Ghost of Tsushima

Possible requirements of Ghost of Tsushima

Minimal requirements

  • Windows 10 64 bit.
  • Intel Core i3-8100 or Ryzen 3 2300X processor.
  • 12 GB of RAM.
  • GeForce GTX 1650 or Radeon RX 6400 graphics card with 4 GB of graphics memory.
  • 150 GB of free space on the SSD disk.

With this configuration the game should work the quality drops to 30 FPS at 1080p resolution.

Recommended requirements

  • Windows 10 64 bit.
  • Intel Core i7-8700 or Ryzen 5 3600 processor.
  • 16 GB of RAM.
  • GeForce RTX 2070, GeForce RTX 3060 or Radeon RX 6600 graphics card with at least 8 GB of graphics memory.
  • 150 GB of free space on the SSD disk.

This configuration should be enough for gaming 1080p with high or maximum quality and maintaining 60 FPS.

We have to keep in mind that it will ultimately affect the optimization of the game, and considering the time that has passed since its launch, this should not be a problem. The SSD drive will be essential in terms of requirements, as happened with Sony’s latest major releases on PC. The game can work with HDD, but expect performance and user experience to not be good.

Ghost of Tsushima Final Requirements

Sony has confirmed the official claims, and as you’ll see below we were not off course at all, because the performance and quality values associated with them are lower than the equivalent values in our estimate. So that you can compare directly, I’ll leave you with the estimate we made and the official requirements.

720p requirements

  • Windows 10 64 bit.
  • Intel Core i3-7100 or Ryzen 3 1200 processor.
  • 8 GB of RAM.
  • GeForce GTX 960 or Radeon RX 5500 XT graphics card with 4 GB of graphics memory.
  • 75 GB of free space on the SSD disk (recommended).

You can play with this configuration 720p with low quality and 30 FPS. There is a serious flaw in the graphics card equivalence, as a 4GB Radeon RX 5500 XT is actually equivalent to a 6GB GeForce GTX 1060.

1080p requirements

  • Windows 10 64 bit.
  • Intel Core i5-8600 or Ryzen 5 3600 processor.
  • 16 GB of RAM.
  • GeForce RTX 2060 or Radeon RX 5600XT graphics card with 6 GB of graphics memory.
  • 75 GB of free space on the SSD disk (recommended).

We can play 1080p at 60 FPS with medium quality if we meet these requirements.

1440p requirements

  • Windows 10 64 bit.
  • Intel Core i5-11400 or Ryzen 5 5600 processor.
  • 16 GB of RAM.
  • GeForce RTX 3070 or Radeon RX 6800 graphics card with 8 GB of graphics memory.
  • 75 GB of free space on the SSD disk (recommended).

If we meet these requirements, we will be able to play 1440p with high quality and 60 FPS, or in 4K with high quality and 30 FPS.

Requirements for 2160p

  • Windows 10 64 bit.
  • Intel Core i5-11400 or Ryzen 5 5600 processor.
  • 16 GB of RAM.
  • GeForce RTX 4080 or Radeon RX 7900 XT graphics card.
  • 75 GB of free space on the SSD disk (recommended).

We have another equivalency error here, as the Radeon RX 7900 XT is equivalent to the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti. This configuration will allow us to play 4K with very high quality and 60 FPS.
