The campaign targets different age groups, taking into account different vulnerabilities and behavioral patterns. Young people, who are curious about technology but are considered particularly vulnerable because they are inexperienced, are the main target of attention.

Adults, who are often cybersecurity-conscious, and seniors who increasingly rely on online platforms are also featured in the campaign’s outreach.

Campaign materials focus on practical cybersecurity measures that are often overlooked in everyday life:

  • Changing passwords regularly,
  • comprehensive control of online connections and Wi-Fi networks.

Resources, including interactive educational tools, are available to facilitate learning and self-assessment.

It is crucial to recognize that cybersecurity goes beyond experts and impacts everyone who has access to the internet. Therefore, we focus on spreading the basics of cyber hygiene among Ukrainians, regardless of demographics or activities on the Internet.

Cyber security is important

Serhiy Demedyuk, Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, touched upon the importance of cyber security for national and global security. According to him, cybersecurity should be a priority for every citizen, given its impact on personal and collective security.

This is the second wave of the campaign to improve the cyber literacy of Ukrainians: the first was successfully carried out from September 2022 to September 2023. In order to ensure a long and sustainable impact, the campaign is ongoing and constantly evolving, adapting to new threats and attracting new netizens to create a safe online space in Ukraine.
