No Rest for the Wicked was one of the big surprises this year and has become one of the games the most promising and most anticipated. All the hype he’s gotten around him is because he’s been able to combine the styles of two very popular triple-A games, Diablo and Dark Souls.
It sounds good on paper and the truth is it’s even better in action. Those responsible for No Rest for the Wicked were also responsible for the development of Ori and the Blind Forest, and from what I’ve seen in the early videos, it looks like they’ve done a great job with No Rest for the Wicked. They didn’t have it easy when it came to combining the mechanics of Diablo and Dark Souls, but they managed to overcome the challenge, and they did it with flying colours.
On a graphic and design level, they also did a good job, but no doubt What shines most about this game is the setting and art direction, both excellent and capable of creating an organic world full of detail that draws us completely into the story. It looks very good, so much so that I’m giving it a chance in early access.
With this configuration we can play it in resolution 1080p at 30 FPS using performance mode in graphics quality settings. This mode should be equivalent to low quality mode in other games.
There is a serious equivalence error on the graphics card because The GeForce GTX 970 is actually more on par with the 4GB Radeon RX 570.
If we have a team with these or similar qualities, we can play with them 1080p resolution at 60 FPS and graphics settings in quality mode, which should be equivalent to maximum quality. The truth is that the recommended requirements are quite high for a game of this style and features, so I think they are probably overkill.
In this case we have another equivalence fallacy because The GeForce RTX 3070 Ti is actually equivalent to the Radeon RX 6800. If you have questions, you can check out our graphics card equivalent guide.
It is scheduled to launch today. In a few hours, it will be unlockable via Early Access on Steam.
