Palo Alto Networks is optimizing its Cortex XSIAM SOC platform for the cloud. The suite should provide clear visibility into customers’ cloud environments. Palo Alto Networks notes that many customers reside in the cloud, but the threats there have unique characteristics. The Cortex The optimized solution is called Cortex XSIAM for the cloud.

Simplicity and centralization

Three new features stand out:

  • Central interface: SOC analysts have a complete view of all cloud assets thanks to a new Cloud Command Center. According to Palo Alto, security teams can detect and remediate threats faster.
  • Security agent: An enhanced version of the Cortex XDR Agent combines the runtime security of Cortex with the compliance management capabilities of Prisma Cloud for deeper cloud detection and response. Security teams no longer need two different agents and gain a better overview of their overall security.
