Meta decided to make Instagram Reels more accessible and useful for everyone. To enable it to compete with services like Instagram, TikTok and Snapchat, it announced today that it will roll out several new features designed specifically for creators using Reels.

Creators will now have access to an expanded library of sound effects so they can improve their drumming. They can also stream their sound directly to the Reels, and you can access this feature with the Get Sound switch. It will take your current video clip at least 5 seconds from the stills and transfer the sound from that video to the drums. Others, of course, are free to use the sounds they have loaded onto the drums.

Previously, Instagram provided support for interactive stickers through its Stories. This feature will now appear on the Reels. You can also run polls, invite viewers to share what they want to see or progress, and create a fun environment filled with interactive quizzes. Of course, there will be a slider sticker on the reels with emoticons that will allow viewers to evaluate the content using different emoticons.

Despite TikTok reducing its videos to 3 minutes and then 10 minutes, Instagram decided to take a more modest approach and increased the duration of the videos from 60 seconds to 90 seconds. Finally, the best feature you can get in a future update is Templates. This allows all creators to easily sync music and video clips. The template will be preloaded with placeholders that creators can then fill in and create their own content. Source
