prossimo Mi Band 9 from Xiaomi It seems like a very important certification series, but it also helped in its official debut.
On April 9, Mi Band 9 appeared in the database of the United Arab Emirates Certification Agency (TDRA) and the Indonesian Telecommunications Agency. The certified model M2345B1 did not reveal many technical specifications, but the single pass of this phase represents a strong signal of the next launch.
On the 5th of the same month, Mi Band 9 was also registered on the IMDA database in Singapore, confirming the upcoming launch of the device. Additionally, two products with model numbers “M2345B1” and “M2346B1” also received domestic radio certification, suggesting that they may correspond to the Mi Band 9 and its NFC version, respectively.
Although there is no detailed information about the configuration in the certification documents, we can make some assumptions based on its predecessor, Mi Band 8. Mi Band 8, released on April 18, 2023, has a 1.62-inch display with 60Hz, 326PPI. and the initial brightness is not 600nit. The initial sales price in China was 239 yuan for the standard version and 279 yuan for the NFC version.
Mi Band 8 introduced Xiaomi Control Center for the first time, which allows controlling various Xiaomi smart devices and managing the phone’s audio stream through the bracelet. With a charging time of approximately one hour, Mi Band 8 promises a typical autonomy of 16 days, reducing this time to 6 days in Always On Display (AOD) mode.
What can we expect from Mi Band 9? It is likely that Xiaomi will continue to improve the features already appreciated in the previous version, such as battery life, display quality and connectivity. In addition, the experience is unsurprising in terms of interface and integration with Xiaomi’s ecosystem.
In any case, Mi Band 9 is a crossover point with a new certification received, but it does not allow Xiaomi to take first place in the wearable market with the new device.
