At the meeting of the US Congress House Appropriations Committee evaluating NASA’s next year’s budget, space agency head Bill Nelson talked about China’s success.

Bill Nelson told congressmen that China uses civilian spaceflights and research to conceal military programs. NASA’s administrator once again emphasized that the USA and the People’s Republic of China are participating in the space race to conquer the earth’s natural satellite.

To maintain America’s superiority in space, they need to invest in the lunar program. Nelson also reminded that Beijing plans to send taikonauts to the Moon in 2030. The United States will land its astronauts on Selena as early as 2026 as part of the Artemis III mission.

Nelson was apparently trying to scare congressmen into agreeing to next year’s NASA budget.
