New Google Drive filters now available on Android devices

These filters began arriving in Drive for the web and the Drive version for iOS devices a few weeks ago, but until now they were conspicuous by their absence from Google’s mobile operating system app. Finally, The wait is over and they are now available.

New filters add a window with different options to reduce the results of our searches. Firstly, we can choose the file typeincluding text documents, spreadsheets, presentations, PDF files, videos, saved web pages, drawings (Photoshop files and similar), and Archives (.zip or .rar). When we press one of these categories we will see only the file type we selected in the results.

In the previous image we can see how the search tool looked before the update, which offered some options in the form of tabs in a bar that we had to scroll from side to side to see more categories. But in the new version we have all the filters on our screenIn an organized and clear way, with more options.

In addition to filtering by file type, when last changed, choose from these options: today, within the last 7 days, within the last 30 days, this year, last year, or a custom date. Finally, we can also filter by people who participated or were tagged in a file.
