In late May, the Russians cut off Ukrainian mobile communications and the Internet in the Kherson region. Residents remained uncommunicated for 3 days. However, this morning, Ukrainian mobile and internet operators resumed their work in the region.

Communication restored in the Kherson region

Thus, three days ago, Russian invaders cut off Ukrainian mobile communications and Internet in the Kherson region. Then they began to distribute Russian SIM cards in exchange for passport data. But the Ukrainians resisted and the invaders had no choice but to reconnect.

Hearing the spirit of resistance, the invaders nevertheless powered Ukrainian networks this morning, and both Kyivstar and Vodafone emerged. That is, starting today, the occupier again departed from the plan to force the inhabitants of Kherson to use only the Russian Internet and communications. This is another victory for Kherson,

Also, according to the operational information of the Kherson Military Administration, on June 3, mobile communications appeared in the Lower Syrogoz community and partially in the city of Beryslav in the Kherson region. Mobile communications are partially available in the occupied regions of the region: in the Kochubeyevskaya and Novovorontsovskaya regional communities. However, it is not possible to establish a link with the vast majority of regional communities.

The situation in the Kherson region: the latest news

• On June 1, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine said that our fighters in the Kherson region liberated a number of settlements from the Russians. However, it is not yet known which settlements were saved.
• Russian invaders continue to take people hostage in the temporarily occupied Kherson region. Worst of all, they did not allow even children to be taken out of the green corridors on June 2nd yesterday. And today the Russian army has seized the passport services of Kherson and is distributing its documents to civilians.
• Again on June 3, the invaders tried to engage the Armed Forces in the Lozovo district in the Kherson region. But the Ukrainian defenders forced the enemy to retreat and therefore had to return to their original positions.
• In addition, the Russians continue to loot, including the Kherson region. There are reports that Russian invaders looted the Epicenter store in Kherson.
• Interestingly, the Russian invaders have absolutely nothing to eat, so they were recruited to harvest strawberries in the Kherson region. They offer their services at 50 hryvnia per hour – they are picking strawberries in the Ukrainian fields.
