American insider Roberts Scoble said on Twitter that Apple is preparing to launch its own search engine, which will be introduced in January 2023.

Scoble emphasized that the information he gave was based on sources close to Apple, as well as his own estimates.

Apple search was recognized in 2020 as a result of queries after iOS 14, where links appeared from the Google search engine and to sites that were not their own.

According to an insider, Apple may announce its own search engine for two reasons: firstly – the creation of full-fledged competition with Google, the search engine monopoly in the market; the second is to expand Siri’s voice assistant.

Scoble also talked about the growing effectiveness of the Applebot search engine, which is used to build a huge database of online material that forms the basis of any search engine.
