Wacom introduces its first lightweight and portable drawing tablet with an OLED screen: Movink 13.
Wacom, the Chinese drawing tablet manufacturer, is launching its first OLED drawing tablets. Wacom Movink 13 is a lightweight and portable drawing tablet for creatives who want to work from anywhere. The tablet costs $750 and is available from the Wacom Store.
Thin and light
Wacom says the Movink 13 is the “thinnest and lightest” tablet the company has ever made. The tablet weighs 420 grams and has a thickness of 4 to 6.6 mm. To get an idea, it’s said to be 66 percent thinner and 55 percent lighter than a similarly sized Wacom One 13 Touch.
Movink 13 uses a USB-C to USB-C cable for both power and connectivity. A second USB-C port is also available for additional power supply. In addition, the tablet supports Windows, macOS, ChromeOS and Android.
First OLED screen
The Wacom Movink 13 is the first drawing tablet in the Wacom range to feature an OLED screen. Wacom has added a 13.3-inch Full HD OLED screen from Samsung to the Movink 13 tablet. This creates a wider range of more vibrant colors with higher resolution than previous models. Additionally, the OLED screen also offers a significantly improved contrast ratio with deeper blacks, providing a more accurate display for creatives. This puts Wacom one step ahead of Apple, which has not yet released its first OLED versions of the iPad Pro.
The tablet comes with a special version of Wacom’s Pro Pen 3 pen, but with a slimmer and more visible tip. It’s an exclusive version for Movink 3, although the company says this tablet also works well with older versions of the pen or third-party pens.
