Samsung is expected to introduce several new products at the Unpacked event, which is said to take place on July 10. Among the expected releases is the Galaxy Watch 7, which will be available in three different versions as previously reported. A recent report by AndroidHeadlines sheds more light on Samsung’s upcoming portable devices. It looks like the Galaxy Watch 7 series will have two models similar to the Galaxy 6 series: the standard Galaxy Watch 7 and the Watch 7 Classic.
However, Samsung may introduce a completely new Ultra series with its first product, the Galaxy Watch Ultra.
The folks at AndroidHeadlines have spotted a new smartwatch with a name in the certificate database that confirms its existence. It looks like Samsung may follow in Apple’s footsteps by introducing an ‘Ultra’ version alongside its main series.
Galaxy Watch Ultra comes in three different models: SM-L705U for the US, SM-L705N for Korea, and SM-L705F for the global market. But beyond these details, not much has been revealed about Samsung’s upcoming smartwatch.
Earlier reports suggest that Samsung has upped the ante by doubling the Galaxy Watch 7’s internal storage to 32GB; This is a significant improvement over previous 16GB models. The increased memory will give users more space to download apps, track faces, and store offline music playlists.
Additionally, the Galaxy Watch 7 series is expected to run on the Android 14-based Wear OS 5 operating system. In addition to smart watches, it is said that Samsung will introduce its new Galaxy Ring foldable phone and Galaxy Buds 3 at the Unpacked event in July 2024.
