HP Instant Ink works through print plans, but what exactly are print plans? These consist of a set of pages that we can print for a monthly fee. Each print plan contains a certain number of pages and is designed to optimally adapt to different user profiles and different printing needs.
As we have already said, these include a number of pages that we can print per month with complete freedom, both in color and in black and white. The plans don’t take into account the ink we use, so the monthly fee doesn’t change if we print everything in color one month and use more ink. This is an important advantage and it will help us reduce ink consumption by up to 70%. Plans also include:
HP Instant Ink offers a total five different printing plans from which we are free to choose. Here are the sites each plan includes, the monthly cost, and the expansion options it offers:
All plans allow us to use the sites they include with complete freedom. This means that it doesn’t matter if we print the pages all at once or spread them over the whole month. When our pages run out soon we will receive a notification and we can finish them and stop printing until the next month, continue printing with additional page packs for one euro or change plans to higher.
If we decide to upgrade to a higher plan This change will take effect immediately, and we will not have to pay for additional site packages, we will simply pay the fee corresponding to the new plan. This is usually more advantageous in most cases than expansion in single-euro packages, especially in higher plans.
If we don’t use all the sites included in our plan for one month, nothing happens, These will be collected in the following month and we can consume them. So if we have, for example, 20 pages left over from the 50 page monthly printing plan, these will be added to the next one and we can print a total of 70 pages.
If we also need to print less we can switch to a lower plan, because we don’t have any type of commitment. However, it should be taken into account that when switching to a lower tariff, it will only start to apply from the following billing period, which is measured in calendar months. For example, if we signed up on January 1st and changed our plan today, the change will take effect on May 1st.
