If a few hours ago we were talking about a crossover between Excel and Fallout, now we find ourselves Baldur’s Village, which combines Baldur’s Gate and Stardew Valleytwo titles so different from each other that at first glance it sounds like one of those strange concoctions that seem to have arisen from the mind of a child who thinks more about experimentation than about the result (chocolate ketchup, chorizo biscuit sandwich , sponge cake filled with octopus etc.) and which, at least initially, tend to provoke rejection.
However, it happens that sometimes those mixtures that a priori seem like a bad idea, They turned out to be brilliant and while they are sometimes the result of chance, in most cases they are the result of a deep knowledge of what has been connected. And from what (little) we’ve been able to see so far, it certainly seems like the creators of Baldur’s Village have found a perfect fit between the design of Stardew Valley and the characters and lore of Baldur’s Gate.
If Baldur’s Gate, of which we have spoken at length, shines its own light in extensive and very interesting tradition from the whole sagaStardew Valley, to which we have also devoted quite a few publications, does so because it is a game design that reinvented the farming game genre. Action and rhythm versus relaxation and calm. Two very different styles of entertainment, one high-octane and the other immensely relaxing and cutting-edge graphics over others that include the already widespread pixel-art trend.
New Project: Baldur’s Village. Baldur’s Gate characters settle in Stardew Valley!
Hello, let me introduce you to our new crazy project. We are making a Stardew Valley mod that will include a new map and inhabitants from Baldur’s Gate 3. Characters we are currently working on… pic.twitter.com/O4I3p1AUYH

And how can two such different titles be combined? From what its creators say, Baldur’s Village will take characters and part tradition from Baldur’s Gate and takes them to Stardew Valley Village. Still in development, we’re talking about a mod that, from what we can see so far, already has its own map, four building designs, and more importantly, NPCs based on Astarion, Shadowheart, Gale, and Halsin that the player will be able to interact with and even solve the always complicated game process to become their romantic partner.
Of course, the mechanics of Baldur’s Village will be the same as in Stardew Valley, so those who already enjoy the game will have little time to start enjoying this mod. Those of Baldur’s Gate thinking of trying this original design will have to familiarize themselves with a game that has nothing to do with Forgotten Realms adventures in design, mechanics, etc. And yes, Those who are already players of both will surely enjoy this crossover.
