The network contains information about the US plans to cancel weapons in fiscal 2023. It turned out that many ships were included in the list, including earlier than planned.
Representatives of the US Navy said a total of 24 ships would be shut down. These include four Ticonderoga-type cruisers after 35 years of service and two Los Angeles-type submarines that have been in the fleet for 33 years. They will be accompanied by two tanker-tankers, such as Henry J. Kaiser.
Even more interestingly, the United States plans to cancel all nine coastal warships such as the Liberty. Despite the fact that the service life of such ships is 25 years, the fleet will wipe out ships operating less than ten years.
It will be remembered that in April 2021 there was information that American ships of the Freedom and Independence type proved expensive to maintain.
