Kioxia TransMemory U304 is a new portable storage drive, a external flash connected to USB ports from a highly prestigious company in the industry that previously held the memory division of Toshiba.

These pen drives excel for some minimum dimensions and weight which allows you to carry them anywhere in your pocket and, thanks to the very high compatibility of the USB port, you can use them on almost any PC. The unit in question uses a USB Type-A connector and is Plug&Playso it will be perfectly recognized as soon as you connect it to any device.

The internal connection interface is USB 3.2 Gen 1 Super speed, which offers a very high maximum speed when reading sequentially, as we have seen in the analyzes of other units with the same interface. It achieves data transfers of 150 Mbytes per second. It is compatible with previous versions of the standard (up to USB 2.0) and, as we said, can be used on a PC with any Windows, Mac or Linux operating system. It can also work on mobile devices with adapters.

For ease of use and safe transportation, the manufacturer has incorporated a sliding click mechanism which allows users to extend and insert the USB-A connector with a single touch. This feature includes an automatic return mechanism that automatically retracts the connector after disconnection, helping to prevent damage during shipping. In addition, they have a small hole for a strap, which allows them to be very easily attached to bags or key rings.

Kioxia TransMemory U304 has a five-year warranty and will be available on its website (and dedicated retail channel) in the coming weeks in three colorways (blue, black and magenta).

Their price has not been given, but they should be quite economical. They will be available in the following weeks in different storage capacities, 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB.
