After months of beta testing, Browser Company has finally released the official version of Arc Browser 1.0.1 for Windows 11 users who no longer need to sign up for the waitlist.
Arc currently only supports Windows 11. Those using Windows 10 will have to wait a little longer. There is also good news for users of ARM-based Windows computers, as the developers plan to release an ARM64 version of Arc. Interestingly, the Windows version of Arc uses Apple’s Swift programming language, similar to the macOS version. This allows the browser to share certain underlying code with its Mac counterpart.
arc; It has a unique interface with tabs, library, easel and sidebar that houses features like notes, archived tabs and more. It also has some innovative features like renaming tabs, previewing links before opening, and taking notes in the browser.
At the same time, Arc requires learning through new design and use of keys. Some are already calling Arc a “Chrome alternative,” as authoritative publication The Verge did in its review. The developers themselves use the “Arc is the Chrome replacement I’ve been waiting for” review offer on their sites.
