Google’s developers are preparing to update the Phone app, the standard tool for making calls on Android devices. Voice Emoji will soon appear in this program, where you can play short audio recordings that will be heard by both participants during the conversation.
Audio Emoji can emit applause, laughter, the sad sound of a trombone, a drum beat, etc. during a conversation with someone. Allows you to play sounds. In addition to the icons used to initiate said sound effects, the menu also includes a button called the “charge button” which, when pressed, will cause the corresponding sound to be played.
Developers are probably trying to integrate voice responses so users can interact with them at the appropriate time in the process of talking to anyone. However, if sound effects are used too actively, there is a possibility that they may interfere with communication. Fortunately, the new feature has some limits on how often Voice Emoji can be used while it’s still in development.
It is not yet known exactly when Google plans to add sound effects to the Phone app. The annual Google I/O developer event will take place in mid-May. Probably, within the framework of the conference, the company will talk about what innovations await Android in the near future.
