Paradox confirms Life by You release date

Since it was announced in March last year, Life by You is a highly anticipated game by the communityespecially by those people who have enjoyed The Sims for years, but who are now up to the nose a bit tired of the fact that the only new additions to the saga since The Sims 4 launched in Fall 2014 have come in the form of paid DLC. And yes, it is true that they first talked about the Rene project in October 2022, but we are still waiting for its arrival, without a public date when it should happen.

Paradox stated this in the aforementioned presentation more than a year ago They were going to launch it on the market in September of the same yearin early access, but in July they decided to delay its launch until March 2024. Then they also proceeded to refund the payments to players who “pre-purchased” it, a fairly decent course of action, as they prefer to delay it, as well as that they don’t have the money the players backed up without their permission.

It wasn’t the only delay, as in February of this year (with a month remaining until the second scheduled date), Paradox reported a second delay as They felt it necessary to polish a few more aspects of Life by You before its debut. Obviously it was an inconvenience for users who are waiting for it, but personally I think these are two great decisions, both the one from July last year and the one from February this year, and I will explain the reasons later.

Paradox confirms Life by You release date

It is often said that there are no two without three, but fortunately in this case it will not be true because Paradox has confirmed that Life by You will arrive on Steam and Epic Games on June 4th. In both cases, they will, yes, and as we already expected, in early access mode, so we must understand that the work is not yet finished. Paradox is considering a period of 12 months from its launch to completion, but we have to take this period with a grain of salt, as it may end up being longer.

The news of the confirmation of the deadline is undoubtedly good news, to which we must add the honesty of the launch in early access. This is undoubtedly in contrast to the terrible management of Paradox as the publisher of Cities: Skylines II., one of the notorious disappointments of last year, which even today remains a perfect example of disastrous time management. It was released when it was still very green (and it wasn’t even in early access) and before fixing the issues they decided to release DLC which was also a big disappointment.

Maybe it’s because Life by You was developed and edited by Paradox, but in this case we find the opposite side of the coin with a very adequate time management and a much more honest communication that tries not to disappoint the players from the first moment. Of course, we will have to wait to confirm whether its launch has already been successful or not, but given the precedents In this case, we can be reasonably optimistic.
