Swiss company AirYacht has tweaked the design of a helium-filled airship and a sleek luxury yacht anchored beneath a balloon. Instead of the two-piece design that previously featured the superyacht separated from the airship, the final version will feature a fixed interior to increase cargo capacity and accommodate more passengers.
AirYacht will now be fully airborne and its renovated lounge will have a living space of approximately 800 square meters (previously 750 square meters) that can accommodate 10 to 40 guests.
AirYacht will use a 200-meter-long and 50-meter-high airship as its flying machine. It will be propelled by an air-helium power plant providing speeds of up to 90 kilometers per hour.
The first flight tests of the airship are planned to be carried out in 2026. AirYacht is planned to travel over all types of terrain, from the polar regions to the African savannas and the beautiful green fields of France.
