Due to the Russian-Ukrainian war in the United States, interest in creating systems of active protection against heavy blows for the Stryker combat vehicle has rekindled. It was pushed into the background a few years ago, but now everything has changed.
Since 2016, the military has reportedly been evaluating systems that could provide enhanced protection for the Stryker. In 2019, it was decided to suspend the work on this subject. Now, according to the head of the Stryker Brigade Combat Team, interest in missile defense has resumed for Stryker forces in Europe. The military wants a system that can be deployed quickly.
Experts added that although such a system can be deployed quickly except in urgent need, more needs to be done to increase compliance with operational requirements.
