At 10:00 am local time. Alarm bells were heard throughout the country. and pedestrians and drivers stopped for two minutes. On the streets of West Jerusalem, several pedestrians stopped and raised blue and white flags.

Israeli President Isaac Herzog remembered the horror of the Hamas attack on October 7, during the annual Knesset ceremony at which the names of murdered Jews were read out, and declared that “the wounds remain open.”

“Our eyes have seen things we never thought we would see again.” – Hezog said and remembered that the hostages were still in captivity after seven months of war. “The wounds of October 7 remain open in our hearts, we cry and cry, and we cannot remain silent while our brothers and sisters remain hostage,” he added.
