Gemini is one of Google’s big bets. Its AI is already available on many of its platforms, including the revamped virtual assistant that replaces Assistant. Artificial intelligence is one of Google’s main goals for 2024; so it promises to bring AI to all, or at least most, of its products.

Now the company is working on Integrate YouTube Music into the Gemini appTo offer a more personal and smart experience when searching for music on this platform, which is becoming an increasingly attractive alternative especially for YouTube Premium subscribers. By testing this new feature on Android Authority, they managed to reveal how it works.

Gemini artificial intelligence will also integrate YouTube Music

Having YouTube Music on Gemini allows the app to: personalized and smart searches in music service. For example, we can tell the application what kind of music we want to listen to based on our mood and other characteristics. The app will access our YouTube Music history to learn about our preferences.

Once activated, the app will ask us for permission to connect our YouTube Music account to Gemini to access our information, including our playback history, playlists, and music preferences and tastes.

After completing this process, Gemini, together with Google’s new artificial intelligence, will be able to make suggestions and search based on this information. We can see in the previous example how they asked Gemini. Music recommendations according to your mood Because it is “energetic and lively,” the system recommends artists, playlists, and radio stations that relate to this request and the user’s preferences.

Currently, the YouTube Music extension is not available to all Gemini users, but expected to arrive soonThe release of the final version shouldn’t be too far away, especially considering that the extension is working properly. The extension can be accessed from the “Extensions” page in the Gemini application for Android.

Considering that we are just a few days away from Google I/O 2024, Google’s most important developer conference, it is possible that we will learn more about this extension and its availability during this event.
