We only need to think about it for a few seconds and without a doubt we can see that Integrating Google Gemini into YouTube Music It can be a great idea with sensational results. And as we read in Android Authority, it seems that the search engine has already gone to work, and in this publication we see that they managed to activate this feature, which is still in development, to test its operation, which was documented in images that you can see below.
It was confirmed less than a week ago the arrival of the first Gemini expansions on the Spanish market, a movement we’ve been looking forward to as the usefulness of these chatbot plugins grows exponentially. Granted, only seven have arrived at the moment, all of which are related to Google products and services, but we can expect to see many more arriving over time, just as we do with other chatbots.
As we have already told you, one of Gemini’s extensions is YouTube, which allows you to ask the chatbot to search for videos based on your prompt instructions. So, and given that its operation appears to be quite fine-tuned (at least in the tests I have carried out in recent days), it is quite promising to imagine a similar function, but specialized in music, in the style of what Spotify already offers and on which according to leaks, Apple is also working.

However, music recommendations are quite complex, to the extent that it is much easier to be wrong than to be right. Now, we’ve seen other services offer something similar in the past, such as the very old Pandora. This is somewhat tricky, however, as although the service’s “stations” are generated automatically, there is undoubtedly some editorial work behind the operation of the service, and this is what makes the recommendations often so accurate.
As we read, the YouTube Music extension for Google Gemini You will have full access to our watch history, favorites, lists, etc.. I understand, of course, that this may sound a little disturbing to those who are most concerned about their privacy, but on the other hand, it is a key element to make the recommendations provided by the chatbot as much as possible to each person’s preferences. So even though its release date is unknown at the moment and we don’t know if it will debut in Spain from day one, I personally admit that I find it interesting enough that I’m looking forward to trying this expansion.
