Of course, this makes sense because they are obviously pushing the current generation to the limit, which makes sense. However, they seem to have decided it’s time and as seen in the tweet about this paragraph, Nintendo has announced that there will be news about the Switch 2 during the current fiscal year. Of course, the report also clarifies that the next Nintendo Direct will take place in June, but that only the current generation will be discussed. Nintendo’s fiscal year 25, which is the current one, started on April 1, 2024 and ends on March 31, 2025, so in all cases we know that Switch 2 will be announced in less than a year, though we’re left wondering if it’ll be this year or next year.
