A well-known manufacturer of Chinese origin MINISFORUM intends to market AtomMan X7 Ti, a mini-PC that is the company’s first PC to feature an Intel Core Ultra 9 185H processor from the Meteor Lake series. This base already gives the device excellent multi-tasking performance, but it has a slight downside for those looking for a Linux gaming PC of this type.

As we said before, MINISFORUM AtomMan Intel Core Ultra 9 185H, which consists of six high-performance cores, eight efficient cores and two low-power cores, providing a total of sixteen threads. The peak frequency it is able to reach with a high-performance core is 5.1 GHz, it implements 24 MB of Intel Smart Cache and its base TDP is 45 watts, although MINISFORUM states that this last section has been configured to go to 65 watts. Mini-PC will be able to support up to 96 GB DDR5-5600 RAM through two slots. For storage, it will have an M.2 2280 slot to support an SSD drive via PCIe 4 interface, along with one or two M.2 2230 slots with PCIe 4, which aim to fulfill the function of supporting multiple SSDs or Wi-Fi. -Fi network cards -Fi 7 with Bluetooth 5.4. The last point is still unclear and we may not have answers until the official launch of the product.

In addition to the typical core components, the MINISFORUM AtomMan X7 Ti will have a 4-inch 480p touchscreen on top that displays system information and a clock. As the leaked images show the mini-PC in a vertical position, this suggests that it may include a webcam, likely at 1080p resolution, along with dual digital microphones for video calling.

AtomMan MINIFORUM two RJ45 ports with Ethernet up to 5 gigabits per second, one OCuLink port reaching 64 gigabits per second, two USB 4, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, one USB 2.0 Type-A A , one HDMI 2.1 port, one DisplayPort 2.0 port, a 3.5mm jack connector and a power adapter connector that operates at 19 volts. The dimensions will be 145 x 145 x 49 millimeters and it will come with Windows 11 pre-installed.

As we can see, the MINISFORUM AtomMan X7 is a very powerful mini-PC that on paper should be able to perform many professional tasks and support a wide range of large workloads. However, putting so much power into such a small space can go against heat dissipation in extreme situations, and the use of an Intel processor rules it out as a device for those who want to play from Linux, as ANV, the Vulkan driver aimed at Intel graphics on Linux, is still much worse than RADV, its rival focused on Vulkan support on Radeon graphics (of course we exclude the use of external dedicated graphics).

MINISFORUM AtomMan When it starts, Bookings should open on May 20 of this month.
