Something understandable, because the needs of many people do not require a high-performance device, instead they look for an economical but satisfactory option, which is exactly what we find in terminals like the ones we see now.
The TCL 50 family doesn’t surprise us, in fact TCL unveiled it a few months ago at Mobile World Congress 2024 and what it showed us Even then it was very interesting for us.because although we are talking about the entry range, which is evident when looking at their prices, we will also find some aspects that undoubtedly correspond more to the middle range and make these terminals even more interesting.
As we told you back then, The TCL 50 series consists of three models. Below we see what each of them offers us.
The top of the line of this new generation of TCL is presented to the user with a screen 6.6 inches with HD+ resolution (1612 x 720 pixels, with an aspect ratio of 20:9 and a density of 269 dots per inch), whose refresh rate can reach 90 hertz. It has a brightness of 430 nits and covers 72% of the NTSC color space.
Inside we find the SoC MediaTek Dimension 6100+ Accompanied 4 gigabytes of RAM (which can be extended by four more virtual ones) a 128 gigabytes of storage. It offers connectivity 5G, Wi-Fi (up to AC), Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, geolocation and has an audio minijack connector and a USB-C port. It integrates a battery o 5,010 milliamps with fast charging up to 18 watts.
Its main camera integrates two elements, a wide-angle main sensor that also functions as a macro lens, 50 megapixels with a number F/1.8, which is accompanied by a second five-megapixel wide-angle shot. On the front, we find an eight-megapixel wide-angle camera with a number in the perforation in the upper middle part of the display F/2.0.
The TCL 50 5G smartphone is now on sale and the manufacturer’s recommended price is 179 euros.
Immediately below (at least in terms of price) the previous model, we find this TCL 50 SE, which, however, surpasses it in some aspects. It has a screen 6.78 inches with FullHD+ resolution (2460 x 1080 pixels, 20.5:9 aspect ratio and 396 dpi density) Its refresh rate is 90 hertz, the brightness is scaled to 550 nits and it is able to represent up to 96% of the colors of the NTSC space.
It is built around a SoC MediaTek Helio G88 Accompanied 6 gigabytes of RAM (plus another six virtual RAMs) a 256 gigabytes of storage. Mobile connectivity has up to 4G along with Wi-Fi 1a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 5.1, NFC and geolocation. It integrates an audio minijack port and a USB-C port, and this whole set is powered by a 12V battery. 5,010 milliamps with fast charging up to 33 watts.
Its main camera consists of two elements, a wide-angle one that takes the role of the main camera, with a resolution of 50 megapixels and a number F/1.8, accompanied by a second two-megapixel depth sensor (bokeh). As for the front camera, it is located in the hole in the screen, it has a resolution of 8 megapixels sf/2.0.
The TCL 50 SE smartphone is now on sale and the manufacturer’s recommended price is 169 euros.
We end with the youngest of this family, the TCL 50, a really affordable phone with very decent specs for its price. Your visible face is the screen 6.75 inches with HD+ resolution (1600 x 720 pixels, with a density of 260 dots per inch), with a refresh rate of 90 hertz, a brightness (peak) of 400 nits and capable of reproducing 69.3% of the NTSC color space.
Inside we find the SoC MediaTek G36 WITH four gigabytes of RAM (plus four additional virtual memories) a 128 gigabytes of storage. In the connectivity section, we are talking about the smartphone 4Gwith Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 5.3. On its body we find an audio minijack connector and a USB-C port. It integrates a battery o 5010 milliamps. For its main camera, TCL mounts a 50-megapixel wide-angle + macro sensor F/1.8 and a two-megapixel depth sensor. And on the front we find a 5-megapixel wide-angle with a number F/2.2.
The TCL 505 smartphone is now on sale and the manufacturer’s recommended price is 119 euros.
