Mobvoi has announced the launch of the TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro smartwatch, a refreshed variant of its top-of-the-range that comes with hardware and software improvements while keeping the same retail price.
Last summer we had the opportunity to thoroughly analyze the TicWatch Pro 5, and the truth is that we really liked them for performance, build quality, dual screen mode, autonomy and use of the Wear OS platform. Moreover, we emphasized it because It was created in collaboration with Google and Qualcomma much-needed alliance to compete with the Apple Watch, which dominates the wearables segment
TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro, improving on what’s available
‘Enduro’ maintains dual screen as a hallmark of the series. A 1.43-inch AMOLED with a native resolution of 466 x 466 pixels, which looks luxurious, and a second ULP LCD with color backlight when you need to stretch the autonomy to the maximum. One of the novelties of the new version of the watch is the increase in battery autonomy from 628 mAh to 90 hours. Data is achieved using a secondary screen with extremely low power consumption.

The new version is slightly revised rotating crown and display with sapphire crystal. It has touch controls, including a customizable side button, but we don’t see it being different enough from last year’s TicWatch Pro 5, considering it uses the same hardware engine, the so-called Snapdragon Wear W5+ created by Qualcomm specifically for wearables, with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.

When analyzing the original model, we said that we felt overwhelmed by the huge number of different applications for monitoring health and sports parameters. It seems they heard us at Mobvoi because the software has been revised aswith the new TicExercise and TicHealth apps underpinning everything else, offering faster access to training features, sleep tracking and more.

Apps like TicPulse and TicOxygen have been removed and their features integrated into the main ones, consolidating the software around Wear OS and adding new workouts and metrics. Both ‘Enduro’ and the original version are compatible with the program Mobvoi’s WearOS 4 beta, but we still don’t have a definitive deployment date for the stable version. One of the problems that needs to be improved.
The TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro is now available on the Mobvoi pro web portal 359.99 eurosno price increase over the original version of the TicWatch Pro 5, which can also be found cheaper in the retail channel, for example on Amazon discounted at 274 euros. It’s a great choice for the price.
