HPE has introduced new storage solutions and programs aimed at managing hybrid cloud storage and data more efficiently.
HPE has expanded its offering with the launch of HPE GreenLake Block Storage for AWS, which simplifies the management of data and workloads in the cloud through Software Defined Storage (SDS). This system is intended to provide a unified storage management experience for hybrid cloud environments, with faster time to value and robust business resiliency.
Organizations can use SDS to manage their global storage environments and move data, workloads and backups for optimal performance and cost control. The SDS storage offering also supports simple, hybrid cloud data backup and recovery.
HPE also launched the Timeless program, which aims to evolve the storage ownership experience with new investment protections and a seamless path for infrastructure lifecycles.
Customers who choose block storage on HPE Alletra MP and participate in the program will be eligible to upgrade to a next-generation controller when renewing their subscription. This program includes guarantees such as the 100% Data Availability Guarantee and HPE StoreMore Data Efficiency Guarantees, providing customers with predictable economics and guaranteed service levels for data availability and efficiency.
HPE also integrates AI-driven intelligence and analytics into its storage systems. Integrating with the HPE GreenLake Cloud platform, new cross-stack analytics enable optimized storage management to proactively address latency issues that can impact workload performance.
Full stack asset correlation combined with the AIOps engine enables customers to observe, predict and mitigate disruptions in virtual machines, storage, networking, compute and cloud infrastructure.
HPE GreenLake Block Storage for AWS will be available for ordering in late May 2024. The HPE Timeless program will be available in Q3 2024, and HPE GreenLake for Private Cloud Business Edition with the choice of HPE Alletra MP or HPE SimpliVity Gen11 will be available in July.
