Months have passed since then We’re waiting to find out Microsoft’s plans for Call of Duty 2024. Or, to be more precise, Microsoft’s plans for Call of Duty 2024 and Xbox Game Pass. We must remember that after about a year and nine months since its announcement, last October those from Redmond were finally able to complete the operation of the purchase of Activision Blizzard, and that this franchise was precisely one of the “responsible” for the fact that the deadlines were extended much longer, than originally planned, and that the operation was even jeopardized more than once.

Throughout 2022 and much of 2023, we’ve seen stakeholders, both directly and indirectly, focus on Call of Duty and the competitive threat that would arise if Microsoft decided to make it an exclusive. Of course, Sony gave the trump card in this senseas the franchise is a star title on PlayStation, although it’s true that at times her position has been somewhat over the top, such as when she said that Microsoft might “sabotage” the PlayStation versions, or when she said that she was denying Activision information that is usually given to developers about their plans and progress for the future generation.

Microsoft has made both active and passive commitments not to act in this way, so Sony eventually accepted the operation, but of course that didn’t clarify Redmond’s plans for its own platform. And as is often the case in these cases, rumors of the game coming to Game Pass quickly began to spread, compared to others who said it wouldn’t happen. And that’s one of the big reasons, though certainly not the only one, why we’ve been waiting so long for news about Call of Duty 2024.

It’s not official, as always happens in these cases, but according to The Wall Street Journal, finally Call of Duty 2024 is coming to Game Pass, and it will be from day one, which will undoubtedly become a measure that will interest many players, and remember that we are talking about triple A, whose starting price will not fall below 70 euros in the most basic version, that is, the amount with which you will pay almost five-month installments of the Ultimate version. Of course, we’ll have to check whether it will be available only on this one or on PC and Xbox exclusives as well.

It is possible, although not certain, that we will have more news on this next month, at the Xbox Showcase celebration scheduled for June 9, in which Microsoft will tell us what releases we can expect for the rest of the year, as well as what they’re working on later.
