Sub-brand Xiaomi Poco is preparing for a big presentation on May 23. While they have already confirmed the Poco F6 and Poco F6 Pro smartphones, they have also released a teaser of their first tablet, the Poco Pad, on their official website.

But surprisingly, the company didn’t say much about it on social media. But now we have official confirmation that Poco has indeed entered the tablet market with the Poco Pad. It will be released alongside the F6 phones on May 23.

Details about the Poco Pad are currently scarce. However, previous rumors suggest that this will be a rebranded version of the recently announced Redmi Pad Pro.

This means users can expect a 12.1-inch IPS display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset.

The camera specifications are also expected to mirror the Redmi Pad Pro, with an 8MP sensor at the back and another 8MP sensor on the front for selfies and video calls.

The Poco Pad may also support a stylus and keyboard case, as hinted in a report published last month.

The audio is likely to be managed through four speakers with Dolby Atmos technology for an immersive experience. Keeping the lights on will be a massive 10,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.

In related news, the Redmi Pad Pro has appeared on the Google Play Console, indicating that its global launch is just around the corner. Another report claims that a 5G version of the Redmi Pad Pro codenamed 24074RPD2G (Global) / 24074RPD2I (India) / 24074RPD2C (China) and ‘ruan’ are also in the works. It will have the same features as the Wi-Fi-only version but will also offer 5G connectivity.
