The International Criminal Court (ICC) requested the extradition this Monday Arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu his Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and several senior officials of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) for war crimes and crimes against humanity following the Islamist group’s October 7 attacks and subsequent military offensive on the Gaza Strip.
ICC Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan said in a statement that the arrest warrants against Netanyahu and Gallant stem from “reasonable grounds” to believe that “they are criminally responsible” in war crimes and crimes against humanity “committed in the territory of the State of Palestine, in the Gaza Strip, since at least October 8.”

In addition, he explained that the arrest warrants also concern the head of Hamas in the Gaza Strip. Yahya Sinwar; the head of the group’s military wing, Mohamed Diab al-Masri, known as “Abu Deif”; and the head of the formation’s political division, Ismail Haniyeh, for “criminal responsibility for war crimes and crimes against humanity committed in Israel and the State of Palestine” since October 7.
