The company Inversion Space plans to conduct an experimental mission to create an innovative logistics system by the end of 2024.
According to the concept, the American startup will deploy reusable returnable capsules with cargo in orbit to deliver them anywhere on Earth within an hour, if necessary. The pods can store and deliver everything from medicine and combat equipment to small reconnaissance drones.
In October 2024, Inversion Space plans to launch a compact capsule as part of the SpaceX Transporter-12 mission, which will remain in Earth orbit for several weeks and then return to the Earth’s atmosphere with the help of an onboard rocket engine. The parachutes will descend slowly towards the shore.
