That day has arrived: Announced for months and landing in the United States and Latin America for the first time, the Max has officially arrived in most of Europe, including Spain. This change involves downloading a new app on all supported devices. Amazon Fire TV is also affected: You’ll need to install a new app if you’ve installed HBO Max to access your subscription.

The arrival of Max in Spain means several challenges for HBO Max users, as well as notable advantages: the current content catalog has almost doubled, sports are now included in the catalog and Discovery is integrated with a large number of programmes. The main problems are the diversification of rates and I need to change the application– Both user data, history and billing data are transferred automatically. You need to do a manual process for the application.

Not listing HBO Max in the official app store was one of the biggest inequities for Amazon players. There’s nothing that installing the Android TV APK doesn’t fix, but it’s clearly an annoyance. So, even though we had to wait for the Max to arrive, we’re happy that Amazon finally fixed the issue.

Max notification is likely to appear when accessing Appstore from TV. You can try searching in the store: a few clicks on the remote control and you will activate Max on your TV; as long as you have both Standard and Premium subscriptions. For what reason is it not showing up or is it causing problems? Although there is always an alternative to resort to, one should not do this.

As we said, Max is already in the Spanish Amazon Appstore. If you want an alternative way or the application does not appear officially, you can install it as follows:

• Go to your Fire TV settings and enter “My Fire TV.”
• Click “About” several times until you see “Developer Options” activated.
• Go to the new developers menu and turn on the “Install unknown apps” option.
• Now open Amazon AppStore and look for the Downloader app. Load.
• Go to the Downloader app and navigate to the central address box.
• Type 812184. We created this shortcut to Max APK from APK Mirror: downloading and archiving is safe.
• Once the APK Mirror page loads, go to the “Download APK” option, which is the blue button with the text “Verified to install.” If you see an ad window, click “Close”.
• The downloader will tell you whether you want to install the app or not. Click yes and you will see HBO Max on your Fire TV.

You won’t have any problems installing Max directly from your Amazon Fire TV. In case it doesn’t come out or if you want to update your app more frequently, you can follow the APK route. Both work perfectly and are safe.
