The resource HotCars conducted an analysis and compiled the 12 best models that can exceed 500,000 miles (805,000 km).
It is interesting that the first place is not the Toyota Prius, but a Hyundai model with a 1.6-liter 132-horsepower engine and a reliability rating of 9.5 out of 10 – Hyundai Elantra 2010-2015. In the USA, several copies of the Hyundai Elantra have already crossed the 1 million mile (1.6 million km) mark, and one woman working in delivery “covered” 1.6 million km in just 5 years! At Hyundai’s local branch, achievements were recognized and Americans were gifted a new Elantra.
The Chevrolet Silverado pickup, produced from 1988 to 2002, took second place in the rating. Equipped with a 4.3-liter 160-horsepower engine, the reliability of the car was rated 9 out of 10. In third place is the Ford Super Duty pickup produced from 2011 to 2016. This is one of the few cars in the rating with a diesel engine – a 6.7-liter V8 with a capacity of 400 hp.
