Recall remembers every step you take on your Copilot Plus PC and helps you search back in time.

Microsoft launches Recall for Copilot Plus PCs, the new AI-powered tool that records your every move. An explorable timeline takes you back in time and lets you view your entire history, from content on websites or documents to actions in apps and conversations during live meetings. This new feature is available for Copilot Plus PCs shipping starting June 19th.

Back in time

With this new AI-powered tool for Copilot Plus PCs, Microsoft aims to address a pervasive frustration: not being able to retrieve something you’ve seen before on your PC. The new Recall feature lets you recall every step you take on your PC using a searchable timeline.

This allows you to teleport in time and retrieve information from the past, such as actions you took in apps, conversations in live meetings, or websites you visited. Recall is based on your personal semantic index, created and stored entirely on your device. Your privacy is in your hands: you can pause the function at any time or adjust and delete time ranges.

Copilot Plus PCs

This new feature is rolling out as part of the new Copilot Plus PCs. Therefore, Recall is only possible on these new PCs as they are equipped with Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon X Elite chips, which have the Neural Processing Unit (NPU) required for Recall.

Whether new features like Recall will be the main reason for buying a Copilot Plus PC remains to be seen. The new Copilot Plus PCs will begin shipping on June 19th.
