Xiaomi has announced the launch of a new series of POCO F6 smartphones. It is sold in two versions and is aimed at users who opt for premium middle class. The vast majority are looking for some high-end components, but without having to pay a relatively high price.

SMALL F6

The basic model of the series has a large and high-quality screen, and AMOLED with a diagonal of 6.67 inches, with native FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 400 nits typical brightness (2400 nits maximum brightness) and . The display bezels have been trimmed to offer a screen-to-body ratio of 94.27%. It is TÜV Rheinland certified for eye care.

It uses the terminal as an engine Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, a slightly reduced feature and price variant of Qualcomm’s flagship SoC for mobile phones. The manufacturer will offer it together with configurations of 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 256 or 512 GB for internal storage.

The basic model of the POCO F6 series has a rear camera system with a dual sensor, the main one with 50MP with an ultra-wide-angle sensor IMX882 with a large aperture of F/1.59 and optical image stabilization. The front camera has a 20MP sensor.

It supports dual SIM (5G and older), Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 and has a battery 5000mAh with 90-watt fast charging that allows you to recharge the terminal in just half an hour. Its total weight is relatively low, 179 grams, and it is available in three colors: black, green or titanium.

SMALL F6 Pro

The second model of the POCO F6 series takes over the features of the previous one. It features an AMOLED multi-touch screen of the same size (6.67″) and 120 Hz refresh rate, but with 12-bit colors, higher native resolution and WQHD+ brightness, a typical 700 nits and a maximum brightness of up to 4,000 nits. There is also TÜV Rheinland certification against annoying blue light.

Its engine is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 full of features and comes with more RAM (up to 16 GB) and storage, up to 1 byte. The terminal has the best sensor system in the POCO series, both in software and hardware options, with a triple 50MP sensor with OIS and aperture f/1.6 + 8MP ultra-wide camera with aperture f/2.2 and macro 2MP sf/ Aperture 2, 4.

It also supports dual SIM (5G and 4G), Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 and has a 5000mAh battery with 120W fast charging on the USB Type-C connector. Its total weight is 209 grams and it is available in white or black.

Availability and prices of POCO F6 Series

The new POCOs will pre-install the latest version of the HyperOS operating system created by Xiaomi under Android 14. Both models are now available on their website with special discounts for launch until May 30.
