Sony released a video on its YouTube channel depicting what entertainment technology could become in ten years. The creation of three-dimensional graphics occurs with immersion in the virtual space, and the game console flies over the game controller with a screen.

Titled “Sony’s Vision for Creative Entertainment,” the video showcases a variety of futuristic devices, and the company emphasizes that nothing shown here is directly related to any of Sony’s existing products. The most interesting view is the PlayStation controller connected to something that looks like the screen is floating in the air. The company doesn’t explain how the gadget is arranged: It could be both a physical display held aloft via magnetic levitation and a projection created by the controller.

According to Sony, “In ten years, we will live in a multi-layered world where physical and virtual realities intersect without borders.”.
